Covington—Flora Mae Alexander, 64, Covington, died at 3:20 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 1989, at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill.
She was born July 27, 1925 in Winfield, Ky., the daughter of Euel and Gertie Simpson Slaven. She was married July 4, 1945, in Indianapolis to Raymond Charles Alexander, who preceded her in death Nov. 29, 1970.
She was an employee of Peterson Puritan Co. and enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Freed, Covington, and Diane Alexander of Florida; a son, Donald Alexander, Danville; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Barrick & Son Guardian Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hentrich officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. – thanks to s
